WORCESTER, MASS. - Kylie Kenney threw a complete game striking out five and holding Holy Cross to one run in the Bryant University Softball team's 4-1 road victory.

Megan Marcel hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning.

Coach French's Comments

"Great effort today, we were slow to get the bats going but we grinded some out to put some runs on the board and we got another incredible effort from Kylie on the mound who battled through the elements the last couple innings and still led us to win".

  • Kenney pitched a complete game and didn't give up a run until the seventh inning.

How it Happened 

  • Marcel was walked, and then Trystan Salvador stole second as a pinch runner. Gracie Bishop and Josie Gex then were both walked to bring home the first run in the top of the fourth inning (1-0).
  • During the top of the fifth inning, Aleix Hudson earned a one-out walk and then Marcel launched a home run to left field (3-0).
  • Hudson slapped a double to the gap, and Marcel was walked, which was followed by an RBI single from Gardner in the top of the seventh inning (4-0).
  • Holy Cross hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh (4-1).

  • Kenney delt seven innings, striking out five and holding the Crusaders to one run.
