BALTIMORE, MD. - The Bryant University softball team fell to Maine in the elimination game of the America East playoffs.

  • Maine scored ten runs after the Bulldogs tied the game.

How it Happened 

  • The Black Bears scored first on an RBI double in the top of the first (1-0).
  • During the bottom of the first, Olyvia Smith and Jenna Gardner hit back-to-back singles, followed by an Aleix Hudson walk to load the bases. Megan Marcel hit a single to right field, tying the game at one.
  • In the top of the third, Maine tallied three runs on a Bulldog error and a double to the gap (4-1).
  • Maine added three runs to their total on a two-run home run and a single up the middle (7-1).
  • In the top of the sixth, the Black Bears scored four on an error and a single (11-1).
