BRYANT T&F COMPETES AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY INVITATIONAL SATURDAY

Meet Schedule

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men's and women's track and field teams complete their fall semester this Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Harvard University Invitational in Cambridge, Mass.

The Black and Gold are coming off a strong season-opening performance at the Alden Invitational last weekend and will look to build off that in their final competition until late January.

Last weekend, the Bulldogs were led by freshman Jasmine Bryant's (Salem, Mass.) record-setting performance. The Salem, Mass., native set a program record in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.81 and also won the triple jump in her first collegiate meet. Danielle Davis (Brentwood, N.H.) added to Bryant's success in the jump events, finishing fourth in the high jump.

The men were led by a 1-2-3 finish from Scott Twardowski (Rehoboth, Mass.), David Hurley (Ashaway, R.I.) and Christopher Chapruet (Danvers, Mass.) in the mile run, and a bevy of second-place finishes. Anthony Monteiro (Leominster, Mass.) finished second in the 55m hurdles, Nicholas Douglas (Shelton, Conn.) finished second in the 300m dash, Ryan Busby (Derry, N.H.) finished second in the 1000m run, Ademitokunbo Oremule (Mansfield, Conn.) finished second in the high jump and the 4x400m relay team also finished second.

Following Saturday's meet, the Bulldogs will be off until Jan. 22, when they travel to Boston, Mass., to compete in the Greater Boston TC Invitational.
