T&F competes in Stony Brook Quad Meet

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Fresh off a strong spring opening performance last weekend, the Bryant University track and field team travels to Stony Brook, N.Y., on Wednesday, April 4 to compete in the first annual Stony Brook Quad Meet.

The meet will be the first-ever held by the Seawolves at the newly built University Track and will feature the Bulldogs, Seawolves, Providence College and Marist College. Today's meet will be a trial run for future events and will feature abbreviated schedule.

This past weekend, the Black and Gold competed in frigid temperatures at the UCONN Spring Invite. Senior Anthony Monteiro (Leominster, Mass.) broke the school record in the 110m hurdles and finished second with a time of 15.38. Bryant's 4x100 relay team finished seventh and qualified for the NEICAAA meet and the 4x400 relay team finished sixth.

Following Wednesday's meet, the Bulldogs will have 10 days off before competing in the Skyhawk Invitational on April 14 at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass.
