Nine record season-best times Saturday

NINE BULLDOGS RECORD SEASON-BEST TIMES AT TERRIER INVITE

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Nine members of the Bryant University men's track and field team set personal bests on Saturday afternoon at the Terrier Invitational in Boston, Mass.

In a field that included US Olympian Galen Rupp, the Bulldog men produced some of their best times of the season. Kevin Louine (Mattapan, Mass.) ran a season-best time of 22.51 in the 200, finishing 59th. Michael Arons (West Hartford, Conn.) set a season-best time in the 200 as well, finishing with a time of 23.19. Nicholas Douglas (Shelton, Conn.) finished 64th in the 400 with a season-best time of 50.39. Freshmen teammates John Logan (Hanover, Mass.) and Brendan Varney (North Andover, Mass.) both set season-best runs in the 800, finishing with times of 2:02.91 and 2:05.79, respectively. The Bulldogs also received season-best times in the distance events from Franics Foley (Acton, Mass.), Thomas Mullally (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) and Blake Fenwick (Thomaston, Conn.). Foley and Mullally recorded best marks in the mile (4:26.96 and 4:30.25) and Fenwick finished the 3000 with a seaon-best time of 8:46.56. Bryant's final season-best result came from Zachary LaClair (North Attleboro, Mass.) with a distance of 12.40m in the weight throw.

Bryant heads back down to Kingston, R.I., next weekend when it competes in the Torpey Memorial Invitational hosted by the University of Rhode Island.
