As a freshman: Stepped up and put together a stellar freshman season as a pole vaulter.

Indoor- Finished fifth with a season-best height of 4.20m at the NEC championships.

Outdoor- Finished second at the Brown Invite … Earned a sixth-place finish at the NECs with a season-best height of 4.20m.

Before Bryant: Earned two varsity letters in track and field at Glastonbury ... Earned all-state honors in the decathalon in 2012 and 2013 ... Named All-New England in the 4x800 in 2013 ... Holds the school record in the decathalon (5,533) and is a member of school-record holding 4x800 relay team ... Also competed in cross country, earning All-CIAC honors.

Personal: The son of Tracy and Harold Watson, Hayes Watson was born on May 3, 1995 ... Has one brother, Beecher, and two sisters, Aubrey and Reid ... Sister, Reid, is a member of the cross country and track and field teams at Dartmouth.
