Tuxbury paces Bulldogs at Friar Invitational on Friday night

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Junior Annmarie Tuxbury (New Hartford, Conn.) highlighted a strong performance from a small contingent of Bryant University track and field athletes at Friday's second annual Friar Invitational in Providence.

The Black and Gold only sent eight to the event on the Friars campus. Tuxbury ran the 3000m steeplechase and finished third with a time of 11:15.35.

Other Performers

Staci Rezendes (Ludlow, Mass.) and Erin Svensen (Medway, Mass.) ran the mile and posted times of 5:28.68 and 5:39.80, respectively.

Elizabeth Willmonton (Rowley, Mass.) ran the 3000 and finished with a time of 11:16.04.

Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia) competed in the 800 and finished seventh with a time of 1:57.93.

Russell Stevens (Colchester, Conn.), Blake Fenwick (Thomaston, Conn.) and Alexander Evans (Bow, N.H.) all competed in the mile. Stevens finished with a time of 4:28.96, Fenwick finished with a time of 4:34.46 and Evans posted a time of 4:40.97.
