Five Bulldogs compete at Yale Invitational over the weekend

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Five members of the Bryant University track and field teams competed at the Yale Invitational over the weekend in New Haven, Conn.

With the entire team set to continue the winter season this Friday, Kristen Hayes (Menands, N.Y.), Melissa Lodge (Hopkinton, Mass.), Melissa Hurwitz (Newton, Mass.), Russell Stevens (Colchester, Conn.) and Hayes Watson (Glastonbury, Conn.) competed for the Black and Gold at Yale.

Hayes finished second in the 200m dash with a time of 26.00, while Lodge posted a seventh-place finish in the 3000 (10:15.64) in her debut with the Bulldogs. Hurwitz finished 12th in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.55 seconds.

Stevens placed fifth in 3000 with a time of 8:43.94, while Watson finished seventh in the pole vault with a height of 4.35m.

The Black and Gold compete at the Sorlien Invitational hosted by the University of Rhode Island on Friday, Jan. 15.
