Bryant kicks off indoor season at Alden Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University track and field team is back in action this season as they are set to compete in the Alden Invitational to kick-off the season.

Bulldogs Notes and Notables

  • Last year at the Alden Invitational, Brian Murray (Westford, Mass.) finished second in the men's 300 meter setting a school record with a time of 35.73.
  • Now sophomore Jacob Borgia (Westborough, Mass.) cleared a height of 3.81 meters in the pole vault placing him seventh all-time during his collegiate debut. 
  • The women have almost all freshman and sophomores competing with the exception of senior Victoria Whitham (Newton, Mass.) and junior Breann Campise (Tolland, Conn.). Whitham is set to Pole Vault while Campise will be running the 3000 meter.
  • After a successful cross country season, Matt McGovern (Long Beach, N.Y.) and Noah Tellier (North Kingstown, R.I.) are back for the indoor season. Both runners are set to compete in the 3000 meter.
