Remkiewicz earns NEC weekly honors

SOMERSET, N.J. – Freshman William Remkiewicz of the Bryant University men's track and field team earned a pair of Northeast Conference weekly award honors as announced Wednesday by the conference office.

Remikiewicz was named both Co-Track Athlete of the Week and Co-Rookie of the Week for his performance in the 400m during last Saturday's Tri-Meet with Rhode Island and Central Connecticut. The freshman won first overall in the 400m with a time of 47.17 which ranks him second all-time at Bryant. The time would have been the top mark in the 2019 NEC Outdoor Championship and is currently the top time in the NEC in that event. He also ranks among in the top-20 in the NCAA Division I East Regional rankings at no. 19. Remkiewicz also anchored the men's 4x400 who ran to a thrilling first-place finish. The relay team consisted of Ethan Ferraiolo, Jason Dolan, and Jacob Goodman and they posted a time of 3:20.14, which was a small margin from the second-place team who finished with a time of 3:20.26.
