Two Medals, Ten All-East Performances Highlight ECAC/IC4A Meet

BOSTON, Mass.- A pair of medals and ten total All-East performances led the Bryant track and field teams in their indoor season finale at the ECAC/IC4A Championships this weekend in Boston. The Bulldog men finished 17th while the women came home 22nd in the team standings.

Emma Garrity claimed silver in the 500 meters, her second straight All-East finish in the event and first medal. The men's DMR team of Nolan and Aidan Hickey, Tobias Ruffo, and Luke Silva took the men's lone medal, finishing third for a bronze.

Bulldog Notes and Notables (M)

  • The DMR quartet of Hickey, Ruffo, Hickey, and Silva ran a 9:51.60 to win bronze. They were one of three men's relay teams to earn All-East for Bryant.

  • William Remkiewicz had the men's best individual results, placing fourth in the 500 with a school record time of 1:04.33.

  • Ryan Slaney obliterated his own school record in the 3000 meters, running an 8:09.59 to finish seventh. He crossed the line just 0.001 seconds ahead of eighth place.

  • The 4x400 relay team of Ethan Ferraiola, Vincent Sivo, Sam Rebello, and Remkiewicz finished sixth, setting a program record with a time of 3:16.47.

  • The 4x800 team of William Bittrich, Aidan Macsweeney, Adam Kaiser and Justin Shiffrin finished eighth with a time of 7:42.72.

  • John Bruder placed eighth in the shot put with a finals throw of 15.96 meters.

  • Garrity crossed the line for her silver with a time of 1:13.82, less than a half second off her school record time.

  • Lois Warden placed seventh in the pole vault with a top mark of 3.51 meters.

  • Jasmine Hope placed seventh in the long jump with a mark of 5.47 meters.

  • Kasey Thomas placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 13.02 meters.
