Bulldogs secure eight all-time top 10 performances, win eight events at URI Coaches Invite
KINGSTON, R.I..- The Bryant track and field teams had eight all-time top 10 finishes and won eight events this past Saturday at the URI Coaches Invitational.
Freshman Bethany Marsella became 2nd all-time in the women's 60m hurdles after running a 9.27. Graduate student Aliya Barrows also continued an outstanding season for the Black and Gold as she would win the women's 400m with a time of 56.68 which ranks 3rd all-time in program history. Since coming to Smithfield, Barrows has recorded three top 10 individual performances which included setting the school record in the 500m.

Jasmine Hope won the women's 60m dash with a time of 7.69 in the finals (7.66 in the Preliminaries).

Vincent Sivo won the men's 200m dash with a time of 22.44 (4th all-time)

Savannah Pineda placed 2nd in the women's 200m with a time of 25.39 to tie her for 4th all-time.

Connor McCue ran an 8.86 in the men's 60m hurdles to become 6th all-time.

Marissa Crowley finished second in the women's 1000m with a time of 3:03.23 to move to 5th all-time.

Kalen Knott cleared a height of 4.40m which was good for 4th all-time as a Bulldog.

The women's 4x800m relay team which featured Marissa Crowley, Kelley MacElhiney, Emma Grzybinski, and Abby Hamilton combined for a time of 9:45.63 which is good for 7th all-time in Bryant's history.
What's next: Bryant will compete in the America East Championships at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston. Prelims will start on Monday February 19th followed by the finals on Tuesday.
