Slaney captures Men's 5k Record with sub 14 minute finish

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Bryant University junior Ryan Slaney broke the school record in the men's 5000M run this past Friday at Providence College. Slaney would finish the race in 13:59.58 which would beat his previous mark by under 15 seconds. He also became the first Bulldog to ever run a sub 14 minute 5k and placed third overall in the event.

Senior Nolan Hickey also had an impressive performance at Providence. He would finish Top 25 in the men's mile after finishing the race in 4:10.80. He is now second all-time in school history in the event and came within less than a second of the top spot.

What's next: The Bulldogs wrap up their busy weekend tommorow with the Merrimack Alumni Classic and the Bucknell Outdoor Classic.
