Bulldogs break three school records at George Davis Invitational

LOWELL, MASS.- The Bryant Track and Field team broke three school records and made 10 new additions to the All-Time Top 10 list this weekend at the George Davis Invitational at UMass Lowell. Shelby Anderson broke an 18 year old record in the women's javelin after throwing 40.95m. The remaining two school records came in both the men's and women's pole vault. Senior Nicholas Mirecki set the men's record after clearing a height of 4.55m. Ashley Brule would then tie Lois Warden's mark for the women after clearing 3.75m.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Nolan Hickey moves to 5th All-Time in the men's 800m after finishing in 1:53.18.

  • Bethany Marsella set a personal record in the women's 100m hurdles after finishing in 15.64 (4th all-time).

  • Jake Martino set a personal record in the men's shot put after throwing 14.45m and now stands at 6th all-time. 

  • Ana Bertarelli ran 58.60 in the women's 400m and improved to 9th all-time.

  • Kalen Knott would move from 10th to 3rd all-time in the men's pole vault after clearing 4.40m.

  • Dasani Stewart improved to 3rd all-time in the women's long jump after jumping 5..54m

  • Suraily Sam threw 11.11m in the women's shot put to move to 8th all-time

What's next: The Bulldogs compete in two meets next week. They will first compete in the Penn Relays which will begin on Thursday April 25th and conclude on Saturday the 27th. Their second meet will see the team travel to Durham, New Hampshire for the Pre-Conference Invitational on Saturday.
