Women's track and field records best all-time finish at America East Outdoor Championships

BALTIMORE.- The Bryant women's track and field team recorded their best all-time finish at the America East Conference Meet on Sunday after placing third with a program record 106.5 points. Graduate student Aliya Barrows highlighted Day 2 by winning the gold in the women's 800m with a time of 2:12.51. The men's team finished the weekend in 7th with 53 points.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Maggie Fodera won the silver in the women's heptathlon with 4,154 points.

  • The men's 4x800m relay comprised of Toby Ruffo, Justin Shiffrin, Nolan Hickey, and Aidan Hickey team broke the school record after running 7:40.29.

  • Ryan Slaney earned his second medal of the weekend on Sunday after winning the bronze in the men's 5,000m with a time of 14:23.66.

  • Jasmine Trott placed 5th overall in the women's 5,000m with a time of 17:04.56.

  • Aidan Hickey took home the bronze in the men's 800m with a time of 1:51.78.

  • Kasey Thomas came in 4th in the women's shot put after throwing 14.44m.

  • Will Remkiewicz placed 4th in the men's 400m after running 48.39. 

What's next: Bryant will compete in the NEICAAA Championships next weekend at Holy Cross.
