BULLDOGS RETURN TO ACTION ON TUESDAY AT 5-1 COLGATE

The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday evening in the second of a two-game roadtrip to upstate New York. Bryant will play Patriot League afilliate, Colgate University. The Red Raiders are off to a good start this season, opening the campaign with five straight wins. The Raiders lost their first game on Sunday to NEC affiliate, Cenral Connecticut State, 61-43. Bryant enters the contest with a 1-4 overall record after dropping its last game to an undefeated St. Bonaventure squad by a score of 66-43. The Bulldogs are 2-0 all-time against the Red Raiders with both victories coming in last year's inaugural D1 season. The Bulldogs are 1-1 this seaosn against Patriot League teams. Bryant's road trip comes to an end with this matchup but the Bulldogs will be back in action on Friday, Dec. 4 when they open Northeast Conference play and host St. Francis (N.Y.) in the Chace Center at 7 p.m.

BRYANT FALLS TO ST. BONAVENTURE 66-43 SUNDAY
Siamone Bennett scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds but it was not enough as the Bryant University women's basketball team dropped a 66-43 non-conference decision at St. Bonaventure Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs drop to 1-4 on the season with the loss.

The Bulldogs shot just 27 percent from the floor in the first half in trailing 28-17 at the break.  Bennett had the hot hand for the Bulldogs, going 5-for-10 from the floor in the game but turned the ball over six times.  The Bulldogs in all had 24 turnovers on the day.  Lekia Cowen was the only other player in double figures, finishing with 10 points in a team-high 32 minutes.  Half of her points came from the free throw line (5-for-6).  Kelsey O'Keefe had seven points and six boards.

Saint Bonaventure was led by Jessica Jenkins' 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting while Armelia Horton had 12 points for the Bonnies who improve to 6-0 on the season. SBU made 10 of 13 free throw attempts and had just eight turnovers in the game

LOOKING AT THE RED RAIDERS
Colgate's five-game winning streak to open the season, which was the best start in program history, ended Sunday with a 61-43 loss against Central Connecticut State University (CCSU). The Raiders are now 5-1 overall while the Blue Devils improve to 2-3 this season. 
 
Junior guard Sami Kozlowski led the Raiders with 14 points, including 3-6 shooting from three-point range. CCSU forwards Kerrianne Dugan (14 points, 12 rebounds) and Leanne Crockett (12 points, 10 rebounds) each posted double doubles to lead the Blue Devils offense.

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
It's early, but Bryant is currently second in the Northeast Conference in total rebounding, averaging 45 per game through five on the season. The Bulldogs are also third in the NEC in 3-point field goals made with 32 on the young campaign. Senior captain Kelsey O'Keefe is just 4 points shy of passing Stephanie Ladd for thrid place in all-time scoring with 1411 points.
