The Bryant University women's basketball team continues its 2013-14 regular season slate when it heads to Orono, Maine for a Saturday evening showdown with the Black Bears. Tip is set for 6 p.m. 

SERIES HISTORY

Tuesday will mark the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools with Bryant holding a 2-1 edge in the previous three meetings.

Last year, the Bulldogs pulled out a 44-40 victory over the Black Bears in a defensive battle. Both teams are already off to good starts averaging over 60 points oer contest.

SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS

 Coming off a 64-59 victory over North Dakota St. in its season opener on Wednesday, Maine outscored the Bison, 30-22, in the second half to secure its first win of the 2013-14 season. 

Tabbed to finish sixth in the 2013-14 America East Preason poll, the Black Bears return four starters and 11-letterwinners from its 2012-13 squad. Maine will be led by the reigning America East Co-Rookie of the Year in Liz Wood who averaged 10.3 points and 6.6 rebounds and last season's leading scorer Ashleigh Roberts (10.4 ppg). Maine marks Bryant's second America East opponent of the season (Vermont).
