The Bryant University women's basketball team continues Northeast Conference play when it heads to Staten Island, N.Y. for a showdown with the Wagner Seahawks, Monday night at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs enter Saturday's contest riding a four-game win streak, the second longest streak currently in the NEC.
SERIES HISTORY
Monday marks the 8th meeting between the two schools with Bryant boasting a perfect 7-0 mark dating back to the 2008-09 season against Wagner.
Last season, the Bulldogs swept the Seahawks in the form of two convincing, double-digit victories in January and February.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
Wagner enters Monday's action with a 2-10 overall mark, 1-0 in the Northeast Conference. Most recently, the Seahawks picked up a 71-65 win over LIU Brooklyn on Saturday thanks to a pair of 20-point performances from Jasmine Nwajei and Jordyn Peck.
Peck, a sophomore point guard, leads Wagner with 16.8 points per game to go along with 3.6 rebounds per contest, while Nwajei rnaks second in scoring with 12.3 ppg and a team-leading 3.4 assists per game. Freshman guard Lindsay Rowe puts up 8.4 ppg, while Ugo Nwaigwe leads the team with 6.8 rpg.
