ON TAP AT THE CHACE ATHLETIC CENTER

The Bryant University women's basketball team continues Northeast Conference play when it hosts LIU Brooklyn, Saturday afternoon in Smithfield, R.I., the first of back-to-back home games this weekend.

The Bulldogs enter Saturday's contest winners of six of their last seven games dating back to Dec. 10.

SERIES HISTORY

Saturday marks the 7th meeting between the two schools with all-time series tied 3-3. Last season, the Bulldogs outscored the Blackbirds, 34-18, in the second half en route to a 64-49 victory in Smithfield. Five Bryant players reached the double-figure scoring mark led by 14 points from Naana Ankoma-Mensa.

SCOUTING THE BLACKBIRDS

LIU Brooklyn enters Saturday's contest with a 3-12 overall mark, 1-3 in the Northeast Conference. Most recently, the Blackbirds topped Central Connecticut State, 60-51, Monday night in Brooklyn, N.Y., thanks to 22 points and eight boards from Sophie Bhasin. 

Cleandra Roberts leads the team with 18.3 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game while Bhasin averages just over 10 ppg to go along with 4.3 rpg. Nine Blackbirds average over 11 minutes per contest and eight have seen action in 13 of 15 games this season.
