The Bryant University women's basketball team begins its final weekend of the 2013-14 regular season with a rematch vs. St. Francis Brooklyn in the Big Apple, Saturday at 2 p.m. The Bulldogs have just two regular season games remaining with a trip to Central Connecticut looming on Monday night.

SERIES HISTORY

Saturday marks the ninth meeting between Bryant and St. Francis Brooklyn with the Bulldogs holding a 7-1 all-time series lead.

Bryant avenged its only loss to the Terriers last year with a 61-58 win earlier this season in Smithfield thanks to 16 combined points and 34 combined rebounds from Naana Ankoma-Mensa and Breanna Rucker.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS

St. Francis Brooklyn enters Saturday's contest with an impressive 18-8 overall record, most recently coming off a huge 93-82 overtime victory vs. Robert Morris Monday night in Brooklyn. Currently in a three-way tie for third place in the Northeast Conference with Bryant and Saint Francis U. at 9-7, the Terriers have won back-to-back games for the first time since Feb. 1 and 4 and are an astounding 11-1 at home this season.

St. Francis has used the same starting lineup the entire season, led by junior guard Eilidh Simpson who averages a team-high 14.9 pongs per game. Classmate Sarah Benedetti ranks second on the team with 11.2 ppg off the bench while Jaymee Veney rounds out the double-digit scorers with 10.9 ppg and a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game. Five players average more than two assists per game and seven Terriers see more than 20 minutes of action per contest.
