ON TAP AT THE CHACE ATHLETIC CENTER
The Bryant University women's basketball team will host Fairfield in the first round of the Women's Basketball Invitational, Wednesday night at  7 p.m. at the Chace Athletic Center.

This marks the first the Bulldogs have been selected to play in a national Division I postseason tournament in program history.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday will mark the first meeting between Bryant and Fairfield since the Bulldogs joined the Division I ranks in the 2008-09 season.

SCOUTING THE STAGS
Fairfield enters Wednesday's contest with a 20-10 overall record going 15-5 in the MAAC. Most recently, the Stags fell to Rider in the MAAC Tournament Quartefinals, 63-56, on March 7. Senior forward Katie Cizynski leads the team with 16.5 points and 8.3 rebounds in just over 35 minutes per contest. Alexys Vazquez, Brittany Obi-Talbot and Kristin Schatzlein all average over 9.5 ppg, while junior point guard Felicia DaCruz puts up 7.6 ppg and 5.5 assists per game.

The Stags have used essentially the same starting lineup the entire season with all five starters the averaging over 30 minutes per contest. Fairfield averages just over 61 points per game, while allowing just under 60 ppg, a contrast in style to the up-tempo pace that the Bulldogs like to play at.
