FULL GAME NOTES

ON TAP AT THE POPE CENTER
The Bryant University women's basketball team wraps up the opening weekend of Northeast Conference play when it heads to Brooklyn, N.Y., for a showdown with St. Francis Brooklyn, Monday afternoon at 1p.m.

THE SERIES
Monday afternoon will mark the 12th meeting between the Terriers and Bulldogs with Bryant holding a 10-1 record all time in the series, including wins in all three matchups last season. In 2013-14, The Black and Gold played St. Francis three times (twice during regular season, once in NEC Tournament Quarterfinals), with Bryant coming out on top all three times. In three tightly contests games, the Bulldogs outscored the Terriers by just four points, winning the three contests by a total of just 13 points. Senior PG Jenniqua Bailey led Bryant vs. St. Francis last year putting up 14 ppg, 4 apg, and 3 spg in 36 mpg.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
After a near perfect non-conference showing a season ago, the St. Francis Brooklyn has struggled to find its footing through the first two months of the 2014-15 season. Entering Monday with a 3-10 record, the Terriers have picked up wins against Rider, Saint Peter's and Stony Brook. However most recently, St. Francis struggled in its NEC opener on Saturday, falling to Sacred Heart, 71-55, despite 19 points and eight rebounds from senior forward Jaymee Veney.

Senior guard Eilidh Simpson leads her team with 12.6 ppg, but has appeared in only eight of 13 games this season, missing the last two, while Veney averages 12.5 ppg and a team-best 8 rpg. Senior Sarah Benedetti and junior Leah Fechko round out the Terriers' top scorers with 11.5 ppg and 9.6 ppg, respectively, with senior Katie Fox dishing out 4.0 apg. As a team, St. Francis averages just under 56 points per contest but allow just 64 ppg, tops in the conference.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
After notching 10 double doubles a season ago, junior Breanna Rucker has recorded 10 double dips through the first 12 games this season, including her fifth-straight on Saturday's win at LIU Brooklyn (19 pts, 15 rebs). Rucker is currently averaging 15 ppg (7th in NEC) and 11 rpg (2nd in NEC), while ranking sixth in FG percentage (.434).

WINDER COMES UP CLUTCH
Junior guard Tiersa Winder was instrumental in Bryant's come-from-behind victory at UNH on Wednesday, scoring 13 of her 16 points in the second half, including a game-winning 3-pointer with 4.5 seconds left. Winder also put up 17 of her 19 points in Saturday's win at LIU Brooklyn, including a trio of 3's and 6-for-6 shooting from the free throw line. The junior guard currently ranks second on the team in scoring at 14.2 ppg and recently cracked the top 10 of Bryant's All-Time Division I leading scorers with 395 career points.

MORGAN'S BLOCK PARTY
Sophomore center Morgan Olander sent away a career-high five shots in Saturday's victory at LIU Brooklyn, including three in the first half alone. Olander, who also recorded her second-career double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, currently ranks third in the league in blocks per game with 1.36.

LET'S HIT THE BENCH
The Black and Gold received a 14-point boost from non-starters in Saturday's 79-66 win at LIU Brooklyn on Saturday. The season-high in bench production for the Bulldogs was led by 10 first half points from juniors Dani Anderson (6) and Maureen Leahy (4).

FIRST OF THE MONTH
With the Bulldogs' 79-66 win at LIU Brooklyn on Saturday, Bryant has now recorded victories in each of its first games starting a new month this season. Previously, the Black and Gold had picked up victories over Maine to begin November and Holy Cross to open December.

LENDING A HELPING HAND
Bryant dished out a season-high 17 assists in its victory at LIU Brooklyn on Saturday. Six players recorded at least a pair of helpers, with four registering three dimes on the day. The Bulldogs currently rank second in the NEC with just under 13 assists per contest.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey became the 22nd player in Bryant women's hoops history to score her 1,000th career point on Wednesday at UNH, and just the third to do so all at the Division I level. Bailey, who currently ranks third in scoring in Bryant DI history, now needs just 277 points to become the programs all-time DI leading scorer currently held by Naana Ankoma-Mensa (1,282).

STARTING FIVE
All five Bulldog starters (Jenniqua Bailey, Tiersa Winder, Ivory Bailey, Breanna Rucker, and Morgan Olander) are averaging at least 10 points per game enter Wednesday's game and all rank in the top 17 in the Northeast Conference in scoring, making Bryant the lone team to accomplish that feat.

WINDEX
Always among the top rebounding teams in the Northeast Conference, Bryant once against sits near the top in almost every rebounding category in the NEC rankings. Outrebounding opponents by an average margin of 6.6 rpg (first in NEC), the Bulldogs have outrebounded the opposition in 10 of 11 games this season, averaging nearly 43 rpg (also first in NEC).

DROPPIN' DIMES
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey dished out a career-high nine assists on Dec. 6 at Cornell and currently ranks second in the Northeast Conference in assists per game with 5.5. The senior has handed out at least eight helpers in four contests this season and needs just 50 assists to get 400 for her career.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO…
The Bryant women's basketball program has been well represented on the Northeast Conference weekly awards this season with a Bulldog earning either Player of the Week or Rookie of the Week honors in four of the first five weeks. Most recently, Ivory Bailey's 18.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, and 3.0 spg vs. Holy Cross and Cornell earned her the dual honor of Player and Rookie of the Week on Dec. 8. Last season, Bryant did not receive a single NEC weekly honor.

WELCOME TO THE CENTURY CLUB
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey appeared in her 100th career game on Nov. 30 vs. PC, becoming just the eighth player in Division I program history to do so. Bailey, currently at 106 career games, is within reach of breaking the all-time program record for games played in a career (121), a mark currently held by Dede Fogarty (2001-05).

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
On Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Vermont, the Bryant opened a stretch with eight of its first 13 games away from the Chace Athletic Center. Last season, the Bulldogs posted an 8-9 overall record on the road.
