Bulldogs, perfect in league play, look for first road win at Robert Morris on Saturday at 1 p.m.

GAME NOTES

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - After the come-from-behind victory at Central Connecticut pushed its win streak to double figures, the Bryant University women's basketball team heads to Robert Morris, looking for their first-ever win in Moon Township on Saturday at 1 p.m.

THE SERIES
This contest will mark the 15th meeting between the Bulldogs and Colonials with the series mark in Robert Morris's favor, 10-4. The Bulldogs took the go ahead series win in Smithfield, 4-3, in their last meeting with the Colonials on Jan. 23, 2016. The 71-65 nationally broadcasted Bryant victory gave the Bulldogs the series win streak and cut the series deficit to 10-4.

SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
After losing three-straight conference games to Bryant, Central Connecticut and Saint Francis U., the Colonials got back to winning, defeating Mount St. Mary's, 74-67, on the road on Feb. 1. The Colonials hold a 6-4 league mark, placing them tied for third in the NEC with Saint Francis U. The Colonials are led by the scoring efforts of junior Anna Niki Stamolamprou, who averages 13.8 points per game, shooting 38.7 percent from the field. The Preseason All-NEC pick also leads the team in total assists and steals with 72 and 33, respectively. The 5-9 guard has proven she has range, knocking down 2.9 threes per game, which places her second in league play.

COMEBACK KIDS
Despite an eight-point deficit in the third quarter, the Bulldogs came out in a fire storm in the fourth, outscoring Central Connecticut on a 16-1 run to take the lead, 57-49, halfway through the period (Feb. 1).  The scoring frenzy included 10 unanswered points, marking the longest streak by any team in the contest. The Bulldogs continued to dominate the quarter, winning the battle at the chalk, 8-3, in the last 2:38 of regulation. Bryant prevented the Blue Devils from scoring a single field goal in the fourth quarter, out-producing the hosts, 24-5, leading the Bulldogs' 10th-straight victory, 65-53.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior Breanna Rucker nabbed her second NEC Player of the Week nod, after stringing together back-to-back double-double performances in week five of conference play. At Sacred Heart (Jan. 30), the reigning NEC Player of the Year recorded 17 points and 15 rebounds including an offensive rebound and put back to cut the Bryant deficit to one at the 1:48 mark, before the Bulldogs went on to win a 61-59 nail-biting victory. In front of a national audience on ESPN 3, Rucker recorded a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds at Central Connecticut (Feb. 1), including six points from the line and seven rebounds in the fourth quarter alone. The 5-10 forward helped the Bulldogs charge back on an 18-2 run in the fourth quarter to help Bryant erase a Blue Devil eight-point lead in the third and win, 65-53, to stay perfect in league play.

RI -> PA
When traveling from the Ocean State to the Keystone State, the Bulldogs post a 2-11 record, going 0-7 in Moon Township and 2-4 in Loretto in Division I play.

I GOT 10 ON IT
Head coach Mary Burke knows how to win, despite personnel, year, weather, location, etc. The Providence College women's basketball Hall of Famer has been at the helm of Bryant women's basketball for 25 seasons, recording 10+ conference wins on 14 occasions, including eight straight seasons with double-digit league victories (2000-08). Burke posts a 358-352 overall record, including 67-51 NEC mark in the seven seasons the program has competed in the league. In her highest-winning season, Burke led her 2003-04 Bulldogs to a 17-5 Northeast-10 record. The 2015-16 squad's 10-0 starts marks the first time Burke has led her team to 10-straight conference wins to start league play.

#QUESTforPERFECTION
The Bulldogs continue their pursuit for perfection, reaching 10-0 after the 65-53 come-from-behind victory at Central Connecticut on Feb. 1. The program is only one-of-seven teams to reach the 10-0 mark, including most recently 2012-13 Quinnipiac (18-0). The 2012-13 Quinnipiac stands alongside five other teams that finished with perfect seasons in the 29-year history of the Northeast Conference, all of which went on to win the league title. The list includes 2008-09 Sacred Heart (18-0), 2003-04 Saint Francis U. (18-0), 1993-94 Mount St. Mary's (18-0), 1987-88 Monmouth (16-0) and 1986-87 Monmouth (16-0).

ALONE AT THE TOP
The Bulldogs currently sit atop the Northeast Conference with a two-game cushion over second place Sacred Heart, after defeating the Pioneers, 61-59, on Jan. 30. Bryant remains a perfect 10-0 in the league as they continue the second half of conference play.
