Klein makes NEC All-Tournament Team following 27-point semifinal performance

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – A 27-point, nine-rebound performance in the Northeast Conference Semifinals earned Bryant University women's basketball junior Alex Klein (Waterloo, Ont.) a place on the NEC All-Tournament Team.

In the first round of league playoffs, Klein posted seven points and six rebounds in the Bulldogs' 70-56 quarterfinal win over LIU Brooklyn. The forward followed that performance with a new career-high and game leading 27 points in No. 2 Bryant's 72-59 loss to No. 3 Robert Morris. Klein went 10-for-17 (58.8 percent) from the floor and 7-for-7 from the line, while also grabbing nine boards, including six on the offensive end. The junior also led the team with two steals, while recording one block in her 31 minutes of play.

Klein was the only player to make the all-tournament team that did not play in the NEC Finals, as she joined Anna Niki Stamolamprou and Ashley Ravelli of Robert Morris and Hannah Kimmel and Shelby Hickey of Sacred Heart in the honor.
