COACH BURKE'S COMMENTS

"I felt today, once again, defensively we were pretty good. We held Hartford to under its season average in points. Unfortunately, we're really falling short offensively with our ability to hit open shots, and that trickled down to shooting foul shots, where we struggled as well. It's going to be very hard to win games when you're only scoring 47 points and shoot 25 percent from the foul line. We worked for two days against the press, and I thought we handled that pretty well. The big, glaring thing is we're having trouble scoring."

KEY MOMENTS

  • Hartford's Sierra DaCosta hit a 3-pointer to open the second half and tie the game for the Hawks. The bucket closed a 16-point Bryant lead and helped propel the Hawks second-half offense that scored 38 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Sophomore Masey Zegarowski (Hamilton, Mass.) opened the game with a 3-pointer to start a 12-0 Bryant lead to open the game.
  • Bryant scored a team-best 18 points in the first quarter.
  • Hartford answered back by outscoring the Bulldogs, 14-6, in the second.

  • Redshirt junior Naomi Ashley (Hamilton, Ont.) also reached double-digit rebounds, pulling down 10 boards off the glass. Ashley finished with eight points, two points shy of a double-double.
  • Ashley was also the game's leader with five assists, tying a season-high (Maine, Nov. 14).
