Bryant travels to Brooklyn for Friday matchup

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y. – The Bryant University women's basketball is set to take on St. Francis Brooklyn on Friday, Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. as the Bulldogs look to make it a clean sweep of the Terriers in 2020.

THE MATCHUP
The Bulldogs take a trip to one of the five boroughs as they are set to take on St. Francis Brooklyn on Friday, Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. Bryant downed the Terriers earlier this season, 78-59, in Smithfield helping the Bulldogs grow to a 15-7 all-time record. The Bulldogs are 7-3 against the Terriers in Brooklyn.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
Since meeting with Bryant, St. Francis Brooklyn picked up its third NEC win over LIU, 71-54. The Terriers are now 3-10 against the NEC and 7-17 overall.

Freshman Nevena Dimitrijevic has emerged as one of St. Francis Brooklyn's top offensive threat. The rookie leads the conference in assists (153) and assists per game (6.4), rankings her eighth in the country in both categories. Most recently, Dimitrijevic posted 14 points against LIU and dropped a career-high 31 points earlier this season against the Bulldogs.

LAST TIME OUT: MERRIMACK
Bryant fell to Merrimack, 61-53, despite a second-half push to give the Black and Gold the lead in the third quarter. As a team, the Bulldogs grabbed a season-high 50 rebounds against the Warriors, outrebounding them by double-figures, 50-34. Senior Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W.Va.) posted her second 20+ point performance of the season as she tied her season-best with 22 points. Holloway also attempted a career-high 23 field goals as the senior shot 9-of-23 from the field. Junior Brooke Bjelko (Plattsburgh, N.Y.) chipped in 13 points off six-of-13 shooting while Trinity Bravo (Bridgeport, Conn.) added three blocks.

70 AND BELOW
In all eight of Bryant's wins this season, the Bulldogs have held their opponents to under 70 points. The Black and Gold are 8-9 when holding opponents under 70 points and 0-7 when opponents score more than 70. Bryant ranks fourth in the conference with a 64.8 scoring defense.

THE NEC CAN ONLY HAVE ONE DAWG
The Bulldogs topped the Terriers, 78-59, earlier this season for Bryant's biggest scoring outburst of the season. The Black and Gold posted a number of season highs on the offensive end including a season-best of 78 points. The Bulldogs also posted its best field goal percentage of the year shooting 53.6 percent off 30-of-56 shooting. The offensive outburst also saw four Bulldogs tally double-figure scoring, including Sydney Holloway's first 20-point performance of the year. Bryant also outrebounded the Terriers, 40-23, which marked the biggest rebound margin of the season up until that point.

DOMINATING THE GLASS
In its last four games, Bryant has dominated its opponent on the glass by outrebounding them by double-digits. In the first meeting with Central Connecticut, Bryant outrebounded the Blue Devils by 15, 45-30. Against St. Francis Brooklyn, the Bulldogs outrebounded the Terriers by 17, 40-23. The Black and Gold followed it up by then outrebounding CCSU again by double-digits, 46-26. Most recently, Bryant outrebounded Merrimack, 50-34, as the game marked a season-high in rebounds for the Black and Gold. Bryant holds a 3.8 rebound margin ranking first in the conference.
