Bjelko earned First Team All-NEC honors

SOMERSET, N.J. – Senior Brooke Bjelko of the Bryant University women's basketball team earned First Team All-NEC honors, as announced Monday by the conference office.

Bjelko enjoyed a wildly successful senior season as one of the elite players in the conference. The senior led the NEC in multiple categories including double-doubles (9), made field goals (128), points per game (15.9), rebounds (191), and rebounds per game (9.1). Bjelko also etched her name in Bryant's Division I record book as the only player to earn three-straight NEC Player of the Week honors for the Black and Gold, and she tied Bryant's D1 single-game block record with seven against St. Francis Brooklyn.  The Plattsburgh native is also one of six Bulldogs to ever score 30+ points in a single game in the D1 era when she posted 30 points off 14-of-18 shooting against Saint Francis. She capped off the year with 18 double-digit scoring performances, five of which were over the 20-point mark.
