Burke releases 21-22 Regular Season Schedule

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Bryant University women's basketball head coach Mary Burke announced the 29 game schedule for the Bulldogs this afternoon. The season will begin with an 11 game out of conference schedule that is highlighted by matchups against a BIG10 and ACC team.

The Black and Gold will begin the season on November 9th when they welcome the Gaels of Iona to Smithfield. This will be the fourth matchup between the two teams with Bryant having a 2-1 edge in the series. The last matchup ended in a 62-46 victory for the Bulldogs.

Bryant will then make its way to the Bay State and faceoff against UMass Lowell for the sixth time in program history (Nov. 3). The Black and Gold then return back to the Chace to compete against Brown (Nov. 16). The last time the two teams met was in 2019 and they split the two matchups.

The Bulldogs will then travel to the midwest to play in two marquee matchups against BIG10 member Michigan St. (Nov. 19), and ACC member Notre Dame on November 21st. The last time the Black and Gold had a game against a BIG10 opponent was in 2019 (Illinois & Minnesota), and it was 2018 when they competed versus an ACC team (Boston College).

Bryant returns from their road trip for a two-game homestand versus Fisher (Nov. 24), and Holy Cross on November 28th. This is the first matchup against Fisher and the 12th clash between the Bulldogs and Crusaders. The Black and Gold will then travel up north for games against Albany (Dec. 1) and New Hampshire (Dec. 4). This will be the Bulldogs' second matchup versus Albany, and the ninth opposite of UNH.

The Bulldogs will conclude their out-of-conference schedule with two home games versus Army (Dec. 8) and Vermont (Dec. 21). This will be the third matchup against Army and the first game since 2019 versus Vermont.

The Black and Gold begin Northeast Conference play with a home matchup against Central Connecticut on December 29th, followed by a road contest with Sacred Heart on New Year's Eve. Bryant will return home for two games versus Wagner (Jan. 6) and Fairleigh Dickinson (Jan. 8).

The Bulldogs will hop on the turnpike and head down to Maryland and Pennsylvania for matchups against Mount St. Mary's (Jan. 15) and Saint Francis U (Jan. 17), before heading back to Smithfield for a game versus Merrimack (Jan. 21).

Bryant will then embark on its longest road trip, playing three consecutive away games facing St. Francis Brooklyn (Jan. 23), Merrimack (Jan. 27), and Long Island on January 29th. The Black and Gold will begin the month of February with a stretch of home games against Saint Francis U (Feb. 3), Mount St. Mary's (Feb. 5), and Sacred Heart (Feb. 11).

The Bulldogs then plan to head on the road for two games competing against Central Connecticut (Feb. 17) and Fairleigh Dickinson (Feb. 19). The regular season will finish with a home matchup against St. Francis Brooklyn (Feb. 24), the final road game of the season versus Wagner (Feb. 26), and the final regular-season game at the Chace versus the Sharks of Long Island (Mar. 3).
