Bryant picked seventh, Bjelko named Preseason All-NEC

SOMERSET, N.J. - The Northeast Conference held their annual women's basketball virtual media day and the coaches have voted the Bryant women's basketball team to finish seventh in the 2021-22 preseason poll. Graduate student Brooke Bjelko was selected to the Preseason All-NEC Team.

The Bulldogs ended last season with a 7-14 overall record and a conference record of 5-12. Mount St. Mary's received all the first-place votes followed by, Wagner, Saint Francis U, Sacred Heart, Fairleigh Dickinson, St. Francis Brooklyn, Bryant, Merrimack, Long Island, and Central Connecticut.

Bjelko is coming off her best season as a Bulldog, where she put up a career-high 334 points and led the NEC in points per game (15.9) and rebounds per game (9.1). Bjelko was named to the All-NEC First-Team. 

 The Black and Gold will begin the 2021-22 season at home against Iona on November 9th, starting at 5:00 p.m.
