Dawgs fall to LIU on the road
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Brooke Bjelko of the Bryant University women's basketball team produced a 17 point, seven-rebound effort in the 49-39 road loss against Long Island on Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened
- The Sharks and the Bulldogs went back and forth heading into the first quarter media timeout as LIU earned a 12-8 advantage with three minutes left. LIU produced a 5-4 run to finish the period (17-12). Lucie Castagne and Mariona Planes Fortuny recorded four points, and Fatou Jallow and Bjeko had two points.
- The second quarter was a defensive battle as both teams produced eight points (25-20). Bjelko tallied six, and Megan Bodziony recorded two.
- Bryant was held to five points in the third quarter, and LIU tallied 14, resulting in a 49-25 deficit.
- The Bulldogs fought back in the fourth quarter, producing a 12-4 run, which was capped off by back-to-back threes from Jallow and Nicole Gallagher. Bryant got in the bonus with three and a half minutes left, stopping the comeback attempt.
