Bulldogs picked seventh in AE preseason poll

BOSTON, MASS. - The America East held a virtual media day on Tuesday, and the coaches have voted for the Bryant women's basketball team to finish tied for seventh with UNH in the Bulldog's inaugural season in the conference.

The Black and Gold are coming off an NEC playoff run where they defeated the number one and two-seeded teams before falling short in the finals against Mount St. Mary's. UAlbany received seven first-place votes, followed by Maine, Vermont (1), NJIT, Binghamton (1), UMass Lowell, Bryant, and UNH, finishing with UMBC.

The Bulldogs return starters Mariona Planes Fortuny, Nicole Gallagher, and Lucie Castagne from last season and 11 other players while adding two freshmen to the mix. The Black and Gold will begin the 2022-23 season on Monday, November 7th, with a road game against Dartmouth starting at 6:00 p.m.
