Bryant faces Binghamton in N.Y. on New Year's Day

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Bryant University women's basketball heads up to New York to face the Bearcats of Binghamton in their first road America East game of the season on New Year's Day.

THE SERIES
This will be the fourth time both teams face off and the first as an America East matchup. Binghamton is 3-0 all-time against the Dawgs.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
The Bearcats head into Sunday's game with a 7-7 record and an 0-1 conference record. Binghamton fell to UMBC 73-69. The Bearcats are top-3 in scoring offense and defense. 

WHAT TO KNOW

  • In her last four games, Mariona Planes Fortuny is averaging 23 PPG, shooting 55.1% from the field, and has hit 26-30 (86.6%) from the line. This stretch includes a 31-point performance
    against SHU.
  • Marta Neira Martinez has made the most of her starting role, as she is averaging a career-high 1.8 SPG and has recorded 16 steals in the last five games while totaling 23
    on the season.
  • Kemari Reynolds made her first start of the season against Maine. She posted 10 points, four assists, and three steals. Reynolds has scored 10 points in two of the last three games.
  • Nicole Gallagher tallied 11 points on Thursday. This is the sixth time this year Gallagher has reached double-digit scoring. She also drilled three from deep, which is the fourth time she has achieved this.
  • The Bulldogs lead the conference in PPG with 67.8 and have made the free baskets count, as the team is top of the AE in FT% with 75.1%.
