Bryant drops home game to UAlbany on Wednesday

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Mariona Planes Fortuny recorded her nineteenth 10+ point performance and ninth in America East play during the Bryant University Women's basketball team's 56-36 home loss against UAlbany.

• Both teams picked it up on the defensive end as the Bulldogs earned a slight 6-5 edge at the first-quarter media timeout. Fortuny tallied four, and Kemari Reynolds finished a nice layup.
• The Great Danes outscored Bryant 6-4 to produce an 11-10 lead at the end of one. Fortuny went 2-2 at the line, and Nicole Gallagher beat the buzzer with a full-court sprint and layup.
• The Black and Gold began the second with a Gallagher layup, and UAlbany responded with a 7-0 run to go up 18-12 with five minutes remaining.
• The Great Danes scored six points without a Bryant basket until Reynolds got a layup to fall with one-second remaining (24-14)
• The Black and Gold tallied a slight 7-6 edge at the media timeout making the score 30-21 in favor of the Great Danes.
