Fortuny earns Second Team All-AE and All-Defensive team honors

BOSTON, MASS. - Mariona Planes Fotuny of the Bryant University women's basketball team was named to the Second Team All-America East and the All-Defesnive team by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Fortuny was dominant this season, recording twenty-three 10+ scoring efforts and ten 20+ scoring games, a DI program record. She has also tallied 455 points this season, which ranks seventh all-time. Fortuny leads the team in FG% (.469), PPG (15.7), FG-made per game (5.7), FT-attempts (4.9), and FT-made (118).

Fortuny has produced a career-high 46 blocks, 26 steals, and 176 rebounds on the defensive end. She is averaging 1.6 blocks per game, which ranks second in the conference.

This is the eighth consecutive season that the Bulldogs have earned All-conference honors.
