Fortuny and Mancini earn AE Weekly Honors

BOSTON, MASS. - Mariona Planes Fortuny and Mia Mancini of the Bryant University women's basketball team were named the America East Player and Rookie of the Week by the organization on Monday morning.

Fortuny tallied her 11th 20-point game in the victory against Vermont on Saturday. She also had eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocks, including the game-sealing rejection in the fourth quarter.

Mancini recorded 13 points, her 19th 10+ scoring game of the season in the win versus UVM. She also posted six rebounds, four assists, and one block on Saturday.

Fortuny takes home her first Player of the Week this season, and Mancini now has seven for the year.
