Bryant goes 6-2 at CSU Lady Eagles Invitational

BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Bryant University women's bowling team posted a 6-2 record over the weekend at the CSU Lady Eagles Invitational. Bryant finished ninth overall.

Olivia Hillman led the way for the Black and Gold, finishing sixth overall. She missed All-Tournament honors by a single pin. It also marked the final tournament of the fall for the Bulldogs.

Saturday - Traditional

  • Bryant went 4-1 in the traditional portion of the weekend, including a victory over tournament champion Coppin State.
  • Hillman opened the tournament with a 202 as Bryant beat Howard, while her 178 helped Bryant beat Chestnut Hill.
  • Laura Clarks' 192 helped the Bulldogs defeat Coppin State. 
  • Hillman closed the traditional format with a 198 in a victory over Virginia State.

Sunday - Baker

  • Bryant earned a pair of wins over St. Anselm before falling to Norfolk State.
  • The Bulldogs posted a high game of 221 in the first victory over St. Anselm. 

Notes and Notables

  • The Bulldogs finished the two-day event with a 6-2 overall record.
  • Bryant earned a victory over eventual tournament champion Coppin State.
  • Hillman finished sixth overall, finishing one pin shy of the all-tournament team.
  • Jenavieve Lyon had a big Sunday, posting a 17.70 average for the Bulldogs.
