Angel MacLeod named Women's Golf head coach

SMITHFIELD, RI – Bryant University is pleased to announce the hiring of Angel MacLeod as the next head coach of the Bryant University women's golf program. The announcement was made today by Vice President of Athletics and Recreation Bill Smith.

MacLeod comes to Bryant from Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, Mass. where she coached both the boy's and girl's golf programs for two seasons. In 2023, MacLeod guided the Shamrock's girls to the Massachusetts State Championship in the program's inaugural year and was named the Division I Coach of the Year by the Boston Globe.

"We are pleased to welcome Angel to the Bryant University family as our next head women's golf coach," said Smith.  "She brings a tremendous wealth of experience and success, both as a coach and as a player to the program and incredible passion for the game of golf.  There is no question that she will be our tremendous leader and the future of Bryant women's golf is bright."

Prior to arriving at Bishop Feehan, MacLeod was an assistant coach at Brown University for four years and the Assistant Golf Professional at Norton (Mass.) Country Club for 10 years.

An accomplished player and member of Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, RI, MacLeod captured the 2023 Rhode Island Women's Senior Amateur Champion in August. A nine-time Attleboro Area Women's Open champion and four-time Wannamoisett Country Club champion, MacLeod was inducted into the Attleboro Area Golf Association (AAGA) Hall of Fame in 2012.

MacLeod resides in North Attleboro, Mass. with her husband Scott, who earned his MBA from Bryant in 1999, and two children Morgan and Drew.
