SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Villanova's Justine Donodeo (Holbrook, N.Y.) scored six goals and added an assist as the visiting Wildcats picked up a 13-7 win over Bryant University in non-conference action Saturday.

Wildcats (1-0) got their season off on the right foot with two quick scoring strikes from Donodeo six minutes into the contest. But Bryant, looking to bounce back from last week's season-opening loss to Boston College at home, would rally to tie the game up on a free position goal from Allison Faiola (Billerica, Mass.) at 18:02 and a goal in transition by sophomore Antoinette Lombardi (Wallingford, Conn.) at 11:56 to tie the game up at 2-2.

Villanova would take a 4-3 lead into the locker room at the half, but came out with a vengeance to start the second.  Carly Miller (Rye, N.Y.) scored just 23 seconds into the second stanza and just over a minute later added another as Villanova scored four unanswered to take an 8-3 lead.

Bryant's Lauren Sheridan (Bethpage, N.Y.) and Eliza DeMarseilles (Branford, Conn.) cut the Wildcats lead in half, 8-4 but Miller would net her third of the game kicking off another four-straight and Villanova never looked back.

Villanova outshot Bryant 42-10 in the game as Bryant's Lauren Fillipone (West Babylon, N.Y.) made 17 stops in net for the Bulldogs.

Sheridan had three goals for the Bulldogs while DeMarseilles had two goals for the Bulldogs who will travel to Siena this Wednesday.
