SMITHFIELD, R.I. ? The Bryant University women?s lacrosse team looks for its first home win of the season Tuesday afternoon when the Bulldogs host UC Davis at the Bryant Turf Complex at 4 p.m.

The Black and Gold (1-6) look to bounce back from a 17-7 loss to intrastate rival Brown a week ago while the Aggies enter the game 4-4 on the season after defeating Central Connecticut, 18-6, last week and falling to Holy Cross, 12-9, Monday.

Tuesday?s home contest marks the second meeting between these two programs, as the teams kicked off the all-time series in Davis, Calif., on March 11, 2011, with Bryant falling, 19-12. Last year?s game saw now-sophomore Haley Bloom (Hauppauge, N.Y.) record four goals and add an assist for a team-high five points. Bloom led five Bulldog goal scorers that included current senior Lauren Sheridan (Bethpage, N.Y.), and classmates Katherine Keckeisen (Danbury, Conn.) and Lisa Vendel (Sandy Hook, Conn.), each of whom accounted for multiple tallies in the contest.

The quartet remain a large part of the Bulldog offense in 2012, and with the addition of senior Mary Green (Merrick, N.Y.), make up the team's top five scorers this season. Green enters the game having posted back-to-back hat tricks in Bryant's most recent outings, while Bloom leads the team with 15 points off 13 goals and a trio of assists. Sheridan, with 15 points, is the team leader in goal scored, netting 14 so far this season. She is currently just eight goals shy of 100 on her career.

UC Davis junior Elizabeth Datino, who notched six of the Aggies? 19 points in last year?s tilt, returns in a starting role for the visitors and is the team?s top offensive threat with 52 points (29 goals, 23 assists) already in 2012. Datino is joined on the field by fellow juniors Anna Geissbuhler and Hannah Mirza, along with Elizabeth Landry, Allie Lehner and Charlotte Morris, all of whom have recorded 10 or more goals so far this season.

On the year, the Aggies have outscored their opponents, 123-103, and the team boasts 187 points on the year. UC Davis is backed by a pair of goalies in eight-game starter Jordan Majka and Kai Murphy, who has seen action in four games. Majka sports a 12.97 goals against average and a .386 save percentage with a 4-4 record on the season.
