WOMEN'S LACROSSE HOSTS YALE BULLDOGS WEDNESDAY AT 4 p.m.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's lacrosse team (1-2) is looking to earn its second win of the season as they take on Yale University (1-2, 0-1 Ivy League) this Wednesday at the Bryant Turf Complex at 4 p.m.

Both the Bryant and the Yale Bulldogs are looking to fight their way back to .500 after coming off of losses to Albany and Dartmouth, respectively.

Despite falling to the Great Danes on Saturday, junior Kimberley Sniffen (Redding, Conn.) led the Black and Gold with two goals and freshman Morgan LaBarbera (New Fairfield, Conn.) added another score, making this the third consecutive game that both players found the back of the net. Bryant junior goalkeeper Brianna Watt (Babylon, N.Y.) made 10 saves last game and is currently averaging 11.67 stops per contest.

Bryant will have to watch out for Yale senior attack Devon Rhodes, who enters the contest with a team-best 14 points on 11 goals and three assists. Ranking second  for the  Ivy League-foe, junior attack Jen DeVito, enters Wednesday with 11 points and a .700 shooting percentage (best on the team). DeVito is also tied for ground balls with sophomore midfielder Christina Doherty tallying 6 ground balls a piece.

Last season in New Haven, Conn., Bryant fell to Yale 11-10 despite three goals from junior Haley Bloom (Hauppauge, N.Y.). The Black and Gold will welcome Yale Wednesday afternoon to Smithfield looking to avenge the loss from last season.
