Two-time champ Bulldogs head to Boston College to face No. 16 Loyola in NCAA First Round

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's lacrosse team returns to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in as many years after earning its second-consecutive Northeast Conference Tournament Championship Sunday afternoon and will take on Patriot League Champ No. 16 Loyola (Md.) Friday, May 8.

Friday's contest will be played in Chestnut Hill, Mass., and hosted by fifth-seeded Boston College, with the winner moving on to play the Eagles (15-3) in the NCAA Second Round Sunday, May 10.

The top seed in the Northeast Conference Tournament for the second-straight season, the Bulldogs (14-4) extended yet another stellar campaign under two-time NEC Coach of the Year Jill Batcheller with a 15-10 victory over Wagner Sunday at home in the NEC Championship Game.

The Greyhounds (15-4) clinched their second-straight Patriot League title and fifth-straight NCAA tournament bid with a 14-9 win over Navy Sunday afternoon.
