DeMeo garners fourth NEC weekly award

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University women's lacrosse freshman midfielder Jess DeMeo (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) has been named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.

DeMeo earns her fourth Rookie of the Week honor after pacing the Bulldogs with a team-high three goals in a 13-4 road win over Central Connecticut on Friday. The freshman also recorded a ground ball and a caused turnover in the victory. The Mount Sinai, N.Y., product has found the back of the net three or more times in four of the last six games and currently leads the NEC with 3.20 goals per game in league play. DeMeo also paces Bryant with 27 goals on the year, tying her for second on the program's all-time freshman list.

DeMeo and the Bulldogs return to action on Friday, April 29 at LIU Brooklyn.
