Winter weather forces schedule changes, Bryant lax takes on UDel Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in Bryn Athyn, Pa.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – After multiple schedule changes due to winter weather, the Bryant University women's lacrosse contest against the University of Delaware will be played Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Bryn Athyn College in Bryn Athyn, Pa.

Fans can follow along with the game via live stats at bryantbulldogs.com.

The Blue Hens (3-3) have yet to put together back-to-back wins on the 2017 campaign, last taking on No. 14/20 Virginia Tech at home on March 11 in a 15-7 loss. But Delaware has posted two decisive victories on the year, a 19-9 win over Monmouth and a 17-5 topping of Rutgers, and edged out a strong Georgetown side, 10-9, to open the season.

Becky Gohsler leads the offense with 20 points off a team-leading 16 scores and four assists, while Jamie Schwartz has been the team's leading distributor with seven assists (6 goals). Kirsten Hale and Christine Long each add nine goals apiece and are among the six Delaware players to post double-figure points through six games this season.

A key part of the Blue Hen offense rests in their free position chances, as Thursday's hosts rank 10th in the nation with a .529 conversion percentage (18-of-34), led by a 4-for-5 mark from Gohsler.

Coley Ricci (10 points) is the primary draw winner, collecting 28 draw controls so far this season, while starting goalie Taylor Carpentier paces the side with 11 ground balls. Delaware's top turnover specialists come out of its attack, with Gohsler and Hale each recording nine caused turnovers.

Between the pipes, Carpentier has posted a 9.53 goals against average and .369 save percentage with a 3-3 record. She has 31 stops on the year.

OH THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL…
Thursday's game was originally scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, but Winter Storm Stella coated Newark, Del., with inches of snow and ice, prompting the game's change in date and location.

SAM SPECTACULAR
The reigning NEC Defensive Player of the Week, Bulldog (3-2) goalie Samantha Santeramo (Wantagh, N.Y.) has been nothing short of spectacular this season and posted a career game in her last outing. Sunday afternoon against Navy, the junior made 18 saves, shattering her previous career high (13) and recording the third-most single-game stops in program history. Santeramo enters the contest ranked 11th nationally in save percentage (.518) and 16th in goals against average (8.76). She currently ranks fifth in the all-time program record books with 225 career saves and is tied for second with 25 career wins.

HEAD OF THE CLASS
Underclassmen have been leading the Black and Gold offense through the season's opening five games, and five of Bryant's top seven scorers – including four of the top five – are freshmen or sophomores. Sophomore attack and reigning NEC Rookie of the Year Jess DeMeo (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) paces the offense with 10 goals and 13 points, while rookie Caitlin Breglia (Long Beach, N.Y.) has been stellar with eight goals and 12 points. Breglia is part of a potent freshmen trio, who, along with classmates Leah Nocera (Westwood, Mass.) and Maggie Pressler (Smithfield, R.I.), have combined for 16 of the team's 48 goals and seven of the team's 17 assists in 2017.
