Santeramo named NEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – For the second time this season, Bryant University women's lacrosse goalie Samantha Santeramo (Wantagh, N.Y.) has been tabbed as the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Santeramo posted another stellar performance between the pipes for the Bulldogs, making 10 saves in a 17-5 triumph over Siena Wednesday afternoon at home. The outing marked her third-straight contest recording double-digit saves and the sixth-straight game in which she has held opponents to single-digit goals.

The two-time NEC Defensive Player of the Week honoree has posted an 8.23 goals against average and .571 save percentage on the season for the Black and Gold, who return to the field Wednesday on the road at UMass Lowell (3 p.m.).
