THE SERIES
Wednesday's meeting is the 11th between the Bulldogs and Bears, as the teams have met in every season since Bryant joined Division I in 2009. Brown is 9-1 in the series with the lone Bryant victory coming in 2017.

Brown earned a 15-14 victory over Bryant last season at the Conaty Indoor Athletic Center. The Bulldogs trailed 13-7 before knotting the game at 14 with 6:19 to play on a goal from Lauren Britton (Monmouth Beach, N.J.), but the Bears responded 33 seconds later with the game-winner.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
Brown is 2-2 on the year after a 15-11 loss at Dartmouth in the Bears' Ivy League opener. The Bears hold wins over Quinnipiac and Iona and fell in overtime at Ohio State. Brown was picked fifth in the Ivy League preseason poll.

Risa Mosenthal leads Brown with 19 goals and 22 points, collecting 10 of her goals on free-position opportunties. Caroline Zaffino has controlled 20 draws on the year and helped the Bears to a 57-49 advantage in the draw circle this season. Erin Tucker has played all but 16 minutes in goal for Brown and posted a 10.92 goals against average.

DOUBLE-DIGIT DRAWS
Senior Lauren Britton (Monmouth Beach, N.J.) collected 10 draw controls in the Feb. 26 game at Albany, becoming the second player in Bryant's Division I era to record 10 or more in a single game. Meredith James (Essex Fells, N.J.) holds Bryant's all-time record with 13 against Niagara last season.

PICKING UP THE PACE
Bryant is one of three teams nationally to have played two or fewer games entering this week. Delaware State and Howard have each played once prior to their contests Wednesday.

The Bulldogs, who played two games in a 19-day stretch from Feb. 15-March 5, will play seven in 24 days from March 6-29.

DeMEO RISING IN RECORD BOOKS
Senior Jess DeMeo (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) has her sights set on a pair of program scoring records. DeMeo needs 24 goals to break Bryant's all-time goals mark of 177 set by Lauren Descalzo and 20 points to pass Descalzo's D1 points record of 196.

SIBLING RIVALRY
Senior Lauren Britton is 42 draw controls away from surpassing the Bryant all-time career record set by her older sister, Nicole, who collected 171 from 2013-16. Lauren Britton's 77 draw controls in 2018 best the single-season best of Nicole, who tallied 53 as both a sophomore and senior.

UP NEXT: NIAGARA
Bryant plays its first game at Beirne Stadium Saturday when Niagara travels to Smithfield. Opening draw between the Bulldogs and Purple Eagles is slated for 1 p.m.
