DeMeo selected as NEC Co-Player of the Week

SOMERSET, N.J. – Bryant University women's lacrosse senior Jess DeMeo (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) has been selected as the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week for the week ending March 24, as announced Monday by the conference office.

DeMeo scored a season-high six goals in Wednesday's 18-13 win over Canisius while adding a career-high five ground balls. The senior from Long Island matched Lauren Descalzo's Division I program career points record with 195 in her time in Black & Gold. DeMeo's effort helped the Bulldogs to their fourth victory in their last five contests.

DeMeo's 20 goals on the season rank eighth in the NEC despite Bryant having played the fewest games of any conference member. She enters the week six goals shy of Bryant's all-time career goals mark of 177 set by Descalzo in 2016.

Bryant returns to action Tuesday at 7 p.m. when the Bulldogs travel to Storrs, Connecticut, to face UConn.
