Roche adds nine to class of 2025

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Head coach of the Bryant University women's lacrosse program Brianna Roche announces nine signees for the class of 2025.

The nine-player class includes Phoebe Fox, Brooke Chandler, Claudia Bonaventura, Amelia Piercy, Hanna Kumpf, Ariana McLean, Isabelle Katter, Jessica Colalillo, and Rosemary McIlroy who will all join the Black and Gold on campus in the fall of 2021.

"I am excited to announce the signing of Claudia Bonaventura, Brooke Chandler, Jessica Colalillo, Phoebe Fox, Izzy Katter, Hanna Kumpf, Rosemary McIlroy, Ariana McLean, and Amelia Piercy. Each of these players brings a unique set of skills and experiences that will undoubtedly aid in our team's continued pursuit of excellence both on and off the field. I anticipate that each of them will contribute meaningfully, not only on the playing field but also in the classroom and beyond. Phoebe Fox | M | 5-9 | Glens Falls, N.Y./Glens Falls

A four-year varsity letterwinner at Glens Falls High School under head coach Elyse Hagy … A four-time First-Team All-Star … Led her high school squad as a three-year captain … Helped her team make it to the first round of sectionals … Plays club lacrosse for ADK Lacrosse under head coach Bill White … Played club lacrosse with current Bulldogs Devon and Caitlin Bolen … Also participated in varsity soccer and alpine skiing.

Brooke Chandler | A | 5-10 | Hampton Falls, N.H./Saint Thomas Aquinas

A four-year varsity letterwinner at Saint Thomas Aquinas under head coach Jill Muir … Tallied 52 goals and 20 assists across her freshman and sophomore seasons as the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19 … Recipient of the Jack Leary Award for being a three-sport varsity athlete for all four years … Plays club lacrosse for 3D New England under head coach Paige Rogers … Also participated in varsity field hockey, swimming, and indoor track.

Claudia Bonaventura | M | 5-10 | Dudley, Mass./Shepherd Hill Regional

A four-year varsity letterwinner at Shepherd Hill Regional High School under head coach Meg Dunn … Tallied 178 goals, 32 assists, and 210 career points across both freshman and sophomore year as her junior season was canceled due to COVID-19 … Leading goal scorer in Shepherd Hill Regional program history during both her freshman and sophomore season … Led her team to an 18-2 overall record during her sophomore season … A two-time Mid Watch A All-Star and Telegram & Gazette Honorable All-Star … Serves her high school lacrosse team as a captain … Represented MIAA at the Women's in Sports Day Celebration … Plays club lacrosse for Revolution Lacrosse under head coach Meg Reddy … Played club lacrosse with former Bulldog Maggie Pressler … Also participated in varsity field hockey.

Amelia Piercy | M | 5-8 | Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin

A four-year varsity letterwinner at Bishop Guertin High School under head coach Kerry D'Ambroise and Leslie Why … Led her team to back-to-back Division I New Hampshire State Championships in 2018 and 2019 … Named First Team and Second Team All-State during her career … Recipient of the Coaches Award … Listed in New Hampshire Tomahawks Spotlight … Named to the 2020 Preseason New Hampshire Watchlist before her junior season was canceled… Serves her high school squad as a captain during her junior and senior seasons … Played club lacrosse for both Granite State Elite and NH Tomahawks under head coaches Kerry D'Ambroise and Rob Daziel … Played club lacrosse with current Bulldogs Chamberlaine Bell and Lily Auger, as well as two 2025's Rosemary McIlroy and Brooke Chandler.

Hanna Kumpf | M | 5-4 | Victor, N.Y./Victor

A five-year varsity letterwinner at Victor Senior High School under head coach Nikki Frunzi … Helped her high school team to Section 5 quarterfinals every season … Led her team in 2018 with the second most caused turnovers and second most eight-meter goals in a single season … Also led with the second most ground balls, caused turnovers (10), and first on the team in most eight-meter goals in 2019 … A two-time Second Team All-League (Section 5 Class B) … Five-time Scholar-Athlete … Plays club lacrosse for FCA Upstate under head coach Larry Digiovanni … Also participated in competitive high school cheerleading and indoor track & field.

Ariana McLean | M | 5-10 | Encinitas, Calif./La Costa Canyon

A four-year varsity letterwinner at La Costa Canyon High School under head coach Casey Belitz … Helped her high school team become CIF San Diego Section Runner-Ups in 2018 and CIF San Diego Section Semi-Finalists in 2019 … Named Second Team All-Avocado League in 2019 … Tallied 67 goals and 15 assists as the third leading scorer on the team across freshman and sophomore year … Earned CIF San Diego Section All-Academic Team honors in 2018 … Named to the CIF San Diego Section All-League Second Team in 2019 … Played four games before the 2020 season was cancelled due to COVID-19 and netted 21 goals and six assists … Plays club lacrosse for Mad Dog under head coach Sam Farrell.

Isabelle Katter | M | 5-9 | Devens, Mass./The Bromfield School

A five-year varsity letterwinner at The Bromfield School under head coach Dave Planchet … Netted 47 goals and tallied 53 draw controls throughout the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons … MidWatch A and Central Mass Second Team All-Star in 2019 … Plays club lacrosse for Revolution Lacrosse under head coach Meg Reddy … Also participated in high school basketball and soccer.

Jessica Colalillo | M/D | 5-8 | Syosset,N.Y./Syosset
