Burns Named NEC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year by Inside Lacrosse

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- Women's lacrosse senior Cassidy Burns has been named NEC preseason offensive player of the year, in a poll conducted by Inside Lacrosse. 

Burns was named to the All-NEC second team last season. She led the team and was second in the conference with 30 assists, and set a career high 11 goals in only 12 games, while helping lead the Bulldogs to the NEC title game. Burns has averaged 3.31 points per game in her Bryant career, tallying 16 goals and 37 assists across two COVID altered seasons.

The Massapequa, N.Y. native has been an all-conference selection in each of her two full collegiate seasons. In addition to her NEC honor, Burns was named MAAC rookie of the year during her freshman season at Manhattan College.
