Bulldogs Host Merrimack on Saturday at Beirne

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant women's lacrosse team will be back at Beirne this weekend when they host Merrimack on Saturday afternoon. It will be the Bulldogs' second of three straight home games to open the season after a loss to Holy Cross on Wednesday.

Bulldog Notes and Notables

  • Kenna Kaut scored five goals in the season opener on Wednesday, her fifth career game with five or more scores. She also extended her streak to 22 consecutive games with two or more goals.

  • Emily Oliver netted her first career hat trick against Holy Cross, setting career highs with four goals and six total points.

  • Peyton Woodward was the third Bulldog to score a hat trick against the Crusaders. Her three goal effort tied a career high, set twice in 2022.

Scouting the Warriors

  • Merrimack is 0-2 to start the season with losses to Boston University and UMass Lowell. The Warriors were 4-12 in 2022, including a 4-4 record in the NEC.

  • Player to Watch: Graduate student midfielder Olivia Valdes leads the team with six points, coming off three goals and three assists.

  • Bryant is 7-5 all-time against Merrimack, including a 22-12 win last year in North Andover. Chamberlaine Bell had three goals and three assists to lead the Bulldogs in that game.
