Woodward takes home America East weekly honor

BOSTON - Senior Peyton Woodward of the Bryant University women's lacrosse team earned America East Offensive Player of the Week honors by the organization on Monday morning.

Woodward's six goals and two assists against Vermont helped to propel the Black and Gold to a 21-10 victory on Saturday. The co-captain was nearly perfect in shooting this weekend as her six goals came on just seven shots. Both the six goals and eight points Woodward recorded are new career highs for the Maryland product.

This is the first weekly award of Woodward's career.

Woodward and the Bulldogs take the field again on Saturday (Apr. 13th) when they make the trip to UMass Lowell for a 12:00pm matchup.
